I'm up visiting my friend dave rapoza [freelance illustrator, all around badass]. These are some photos I took out on a walk while staying at his place.

Started out with a character just on white, all rendered it out... but I'm trying to shy away from working on white...so I ghetto-blasted in a background, and erm...anyway I ended up with this haphazard image.

these are not quite what i had hoped for, but at least it's a start in the right direction.

actual drawing time was like 25 minutes or so...
iMovie was out of the picture this time, and the end results are much better :P

I did a quick screen recording while doing some environment studies to work out the kinks...I sure am glad I started with something quick...I've had some trouble figuring out the right settings/compression and I'm stuck with iMovie until I can get ahold of finalcut express...btw for those of you who haven't had the *pleasure* of working with iMovie...it's a right smart pain in the ass.

I know I don't usually post something that's not mine on here...actually I think this might be the first...but anyway this sweet tshirt came in the mail today, with the illustration done by federico piatti. He's a real swell guy too. Been meaning to pick it up for a while...anyway finally got around to buying one. I think the illo is pretty swank, and I really love me some yellow tshirts!!
